ABBA, REM, and Queen!!! I am in Heaven :)

Hey Fam!!!
Well its been a really strange week thats for sure. Some ups and downs and a couple bumps in the road but everything is great now. I am super super excited to go to the temple tomorrow!! We will leave tonight for asuncion at 1AM!! ya it totally sucks cause sleeping on the bus is horrible but they have tvs and we can watch movies on the bus so we are gonna have them put on the joseph smith movie all about his life and the restoration!! haha its gonna be so good! haha its a good opportunity to spark peoples interest and find new people. We should get to asuncion at like 6-7 am and i have no idea what we are gonna be doing while we are not at the temple. Usually the session is at 9AM i guess and i think we have interviews with the president too. I really hope we do cause i am excited to talk to him again and tell him how everything has been going!! Anyways the pedometer is working great and its fun to see how much we really walk in the day, obviously our bodies can feel it but its fun to know the amount! its usually on average of about 12-15 miles every single day, sometimes less just depending where all our investigators are that day. It has been really rainy and gloomy the last few days, well it actually started thursday and really hasnt stopped until last night. There is like a pattern here and about every fourth day it starts over. The rain comes in slowly and then will storm really hard for like a day and then after that it blows away and everything is super soaked and muddy and then dries out with the blazing sun! it makes it even worse because everything is wet so its SUPER HUMID!! thats really the thing that makes it hot here is the humidity! Its constant and never ending. As for food and groceries and all that i am eating like any other missionary would! haha alot of cereal in the morning, TONS of fruit, and then i have been eating alot of top ramen and hot dogs. The cereal is limited to frosted flakes or fruit loops, but the milk is really good here!! LUCKILY!! the fruit is super cheap too, we live above a ¨despensa¨ which is basically like a mini market place with a little of everything. They are EVERYWHERE here but its nice cause we can just go down when in whatever we are wearing and buy stuff from him. I eat tons of bananas, they are SO much better here! I can buy like 20 bananas for like maybe 1 dollar if that! So breakfast is always good, i have been eating alot of eggs and bacon too cause that is really cheap at the super market we live by. Anyways i totally have had some crazy dreams this week, one of them i was back home and we were all at kelseys house and dad and kelly announced that he went in with richens!!! haha it was crazy! thats all i can remember though, then i had a couple dreams about kelsey at aunt stephs house, but i am saving those for her to read in her letters that she gets from me. We had a homeless boy contact us this week who is about 16 and his parents died and he doesnt have any documents or anything. We tried to help him the best we could... it was funny cause even here we are just called out by ¨hey los mormones!!¨ or the mormons! haha but we never saw him again after that. Oh ya if you could print all my emails and just keep them somewhere for when i get him it would be a nice addition to my journal! ha Thanks! I was thinking what i will do is when i get back i will print out my whole entire blog at like costco and make it a book that people can read!! This part is for kelsey... i got a letter this week from mallory jones! it was really uplifting and helpful so tell her thanks for me! it was totally unexpected thats for sure and i really wasnt sure who it was from at first. haha so all the motorcycles here consist of SUPER SUPER LOUD exhaust, they actually make them here to sound like a gun shot when you rev the engine alot. its super annoying and stupid but everyone thinks it is so cool?!?! they even put pegs on the motos like you would a bike in the states. makes no sense to me cause i never ever see anyone riding on them. So a real delicacy here is a little rice/milk cup. They cook the milk with tons of sugar and then add rice... then cool it and after eat it together! ya i usually throw up a little in my mouth cause the two things just do not combined at all! But all latin america i guess loves it! They say oh its SO RICO!!!!¨ which translates to basically super good and rich. They wouldnt know a rich tasting thing if it slapped them in the face! nothing here has flavor like the states... they dont really have cakes here. they just make bread and call them cookies or cake and everyone thinks it is super rich?!?! haha if they had like a chocolate chocolate cake from costco they would die on the spot i know it!!! oh ya another thing here is that ALL the dogs are crossbred with weiner dogs! So they are super fat long and cant do anything cause they will break their backs! its hilarious to see!! Oh ya one thing that would be great and super helpful when you send another package or someone else is going to send one could you send gatorade powder to make gatorade. Its SUPER expensive here! and if i had the powder i could just make it. Dad knows what it looks like. Thanks! but no rush on it at all! You have already sent me alot! I really hope that my packages are at the office when i get there tomorrow!!! So could you please ask becky if spencer got my letter? i sent it back in the mtc but i have never heard back from him. Thanks. Oh ya so people here all have TERRIBLE cataracts!!! and its because no one can afford to have them fixed... i have seen one opthalhmologist in asuncion but no one can afford it and insurance DOES NOT EXIST HERE!!! haha so after about 65 its worthless to try and teach them cause they cant read squat! haha Oh ya hows sister anderson doing? could you ask kelsey for me and ask her to visit her again with jimmy? thanks. So when i get back i am going to refurbish the scooter so please dont sell it!! i want it way bad and i am gonna make it all new! Its on my list of things to do when i get back... ya i have a list... i will just get the most random thoughts and i right them down when i get them. I dont focus on it just only when i get the thoughts. So dont worry i am not distracted about home. Another interesting thing here is that any place that sells more than like $200 dollars a day here in merchandise has a thing called a guardia in front of it or in it, or both. That is basically a security guard but they hold these HUGE 12 guage shotguns with tons of ammo and a hand gun too! all to protect a tiny little rinky dink basically oversized concession stand!!! hahaha So the other day my companion basically felt like he didnt have the spirit with hime anymore and felt bad about something and had no desire to go to the temple. I have no idea why but it was really a combination of that and him being trunky. He didnt wanna do anything and said he had a headache so he slept while we had comp study. So i study with the other elders. Finally at planning that night we talked and he said i feel like i dont and cant feel the spirit. I was not in the mood to his is pity story cause really there was nothing wrong with him cause he is fine now and nothing has changed!! i think he was more just trunky. But saturday when we were finishing planning in comp study cause he didnt want to that night he was still the same... so i asked him what he wanted to do and he said lets play a game. So we played like 5 games of dominoes and he was fine after that. Ya i know we were a little disobedient but it helped him and our teaching was back to normal and not his slothful quiet self he had been the last few days. Well as i said it just rained like crazy and when it does it makes me just wanna be in my pajamas inside watching movies!!! ugh i miss movies!! ha but saturday we had a little party after planning, it was SO SICK!! the neighbor had his car just blasting with music in spanish and then it changed and he had a cd with all oldies of the USA!! me and elder hall opened the window and just sat on the couch in peace!! finally something close to america, he played ABBA, REM, Queen another one bites the dust, Every breath you take, Girls just wanna have fun, and others!! i was in heaven!! hahaha were gonna pay him to do it every saturday night!! haha jk So we were at a members house and we walked in the room to sit down and he was watching soccer... well i had to watch for a sec to see who was playing, yea as you know it is my weakness!! haha but i saw RONALDO!!! ya from brazil... he is STILL PLAYING!! he is on a brazilian team called guarani... and guess who else is on the team with him dad? yea ROBERTO CARLOS!! ha how crazy is that? they are both fat and outta shape but still love the game!! haha you should check it out. So we had the 1st counselor in the bishopric accompany us to some lessons and when we got in his car it smelt just like all the cars that grandpa or anthony have worked on... that mechanicy smell!! it just reminded me of grandpa and anthony and jason so much!!! i get those kinds of flash backs all the time and remind me of things at home. We had a burracho or drunk contact this week and he started acting like a tribal man from madagascar, it was hilarious!!! he was going off in guarani like crazy and we were laughing so hard!! well thats been my week of events, we taught some really good lessons, we had some slow days and some GREAT days where we taught like 10 lessons!! yay us!! haha and we have a couple of baptismal dates for the 30th of this month so i hope they stay! the one guy we were supposed to baptize last week is more than likely gonna be on this date for sure. But i am not gonna get my hopes up like last time. But thanks for all of your support and your love! i love you all so much and i hope that everything is going good.! Benetton

As I read this last letter it made me think of that song... And I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down that should do... Then popped in.. Pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked... haha Any way sounds like he is doing good :) He really would love some dearelder letters so please if you have a spare minute I know he would love to hear from all of you :)

Well its only been a few days so not a whole lot has happened... yes i have been using my pedometer everyday and recording how many steps and miles we walk everyday in my journal to add it all up at the end of my mission. Lets just say that it got put to really good use on friday and saturday!!!! Between the two days we walked over 30 miles!! and over 50000 steps! the worst two days of my whole mission cause all we did is walk like pioneers for hours and i hate that cause then i just have tons of time to think in my head about home and everyone and what they are doing and how kelsey is and how much i miss her and everyone. I was praying like crazy and it seemed like i was just losing my faith cause we couldnt find any of our investigators at their houses and everyone was sleeping during ciesta!! but finally sunday we had a REALLY good day and taught alot with a member who is preparing for his mission and is doing his papers right now... it was really helpful cause we have a new investigator who is really good and interested but only speaks guarini so he helped us TONS!!! It sounds like dad had tons of fun at vision expo... haha and i really really hope that some dude didnt just jew him into buying crappy computers and software!!! I REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!!! oh well i am where i am supposed to be i know! It sounds like you are doing really good in state cup so far and hopefully you can continue to have success. Speaking of soccer today we played on a big synthetic field with our zone... it was way way fun and of course i totally work everybody!! haha they all ask me if i play and what my club is and all the latinos are just dumbfounded that i am so good! haha well enough bragging about me.... ya i got prestons email and i will be writing him back right after this. This is not going to be a very long email cause its only been a few days but next week for sure will be great and full of all kinds of stuff!!! If you get all the packages sent out ASAP i will most likely be able to get them by the 19th when we are in asuncion for the temple!!! there is really nothing else that i need at this point but if i think of something i will let you know. I will probably be taking some money out of my banking soon to buy some custom leather scripture cases with designs and stuff but i will let you know when i do and how much i took out so its all correct and you guys know that it was me. I got all my dear elders today and it sounds like hannah and ashton are just living the perfect life right now with soccer and school and everything that is going on!! i cant wait to come back and play with them and be the big brother that they look up too and take them more places and spend more time with them!! Hannah and Ashton we are going to have ALOT of fun when i get back!! thing of somethings that you wanna do with me and i will not hesitate to do them. That goes for everyone!! i wanna do stuff with everybody!! haha i got to watch all of conference so that was really really good!!! i LOVED IT!! but i gotta write grandma and preston back so that is all for this week.I love you all! thanks for all your support and love!! your always in my prayers! ITS REALLY DIFFERENT thats for sure and i think it will just take a little getting used to cause my love has always been blonde! but i really do like and if you like it that is all that matters baby!! i am glad you got my letters and are super happy!! its really really nice to see your sexy smiling face and i LOVE THE pictures!! How did i find such an amazing girl like you honey!!!!!! I love you and i cant wait to hear that you got more of my letters!! I miss my baby and i cant wait to see and hear more of you!! I think overall that is a good reaction :) I expected it to take a little time to get use to but in time I think he will :)

The Amazing Spoken Words of our Prophet :)

Mom and Family,
Well this week has definitely been SUPER LONG!!! As you know are usual pday is on mondays but since it was a change week this week we dont have pday until thursday (today) so it made the work super long and my body is exhausted! i am so glad that it is finally here and we can buy food and just rest and DO NOTHING!!! hahaha even though the week was really long it was also a great week simply because of the AMAZING SPOKEN words of our prophet and leaders in the church. I learned sooo much this conference... its crazy to think that this is the first time that i have ever watched all the sessions and took notes and paid super close attention. I felt the spirit so strong and learned so many things that i can apply personally in my teachings here on my mission and even more things that i can apply as a normal person for my life to come for my family! I cant believe that i have missed out on so many wonderful sessions of conference simply because i was lazy or just thought there was better things that i could be doing in that moment... as great as conference was it definitely does not compare like conference at home. Waking up to the smell of fresh crackling bacon in the morning and a nig breakfast with family and friends!! Then being able to lay down and relax on a REAL couch that actually has padding and a real blanket with tons of junk food, treats, and stuff to drink! I really cant wait to do that once i am back... It will just make conference that much better being with my whole family having a good time!! So here are some of the things that happened this week, first we had special changes for a few days while all the district and zone leaders and trainers all went to a meeting in asuncion. My companion was Elder Urmston, he is from bakersfield california and had about 5 days left in his misison when we were together! He really was a super great misisonary, he was the AP and opened up 4 new areas in the misison. I learned ALOT from him and he was a great example for me to model my mission after. We tought alot of great families, and overall it was a great experience. We had a little bit of confusion because i was told that we were in my area first so i didnt pack anything for after district meeting, and he thought we were in his area first so he didnt pack anything either. So i headed out to Santa Rita in his area without any change of clothes or anything. I bought a toothbrush and thats it. haha so needless to say i wore the same dirty nast clothes for a few days. haha but thats ont important.... we tought a family that only spoke portugese... suprisingly i could understand them pretty well... we told them about how we had the oppurtunity to listen to the prophet this weekend and invited them to come with us. It was so spiritual and such a testimony builder because after we said that he looked at his wife with tears in his eyes and said " he talked with god and now he is going to talk with us"!! it was amazingly powerful! After that we taught a lesson and we sat on bricks the whole time... that was interestingly fun?? hahaha one thing that i learned from elder urmston is how to bum rides when we need to travel far distances instead of walking!! haha the 2nd day in his area we had a ton of lessons plans and we needed to reach our goal so we ended up bumming 2 rides... one to the super far appointment and one back! it saved us tons of time and we were able to teach more and exceed our goal!! Speaking of walking, i got all of your packages!!! Anytime a person has to go to asuncion for something like that big meeting they will bring packages back... so they brought them all back for me!! i have them all stashed in my closet waiting for halloween and christmas... the only thing that i opened was my pedometer cause kelsey said i could in a dear elder! haha she described the shape and stuff so i knew exaclty what it was when i felt it. I am really excited to open them when time comes about!! Hopefully if you get my garments sent out fast enough we are going to the temple on the 19th of this month i can pick them up when i am there!! so lets pray for that! haha some more things that happened while i was in Santa Rita were, there pension is like brand new cause its a totally brand new area and it totally smells like the dustins house and all i could think about was there house and how i wanted to be there drinking a cherry slurpee and riding in the mustang or making smores by the fire pit or swimming in the pool just chilling and having a good time. One of the investigators that we taught there was golden!! we asked him what his goals were for life and what he desired and he simply said i just wanna live with my family forever!! Too bad he is not in our area! haha i saw super funny commercial this week for makeup here... they caked on this nasty looking face makeup that seriously just looked like mud... they were trying to rub it in forever but it was just so greasy and nasty and then they continued to rub it all in on here calves to try and make her look tanner i guess?? paraguayans and there crazy inventions!! So as you know we have lunch with the members every day and one the of the sisters knows that i dont like beans so she made me something special while everyone else ate bean soup!! haha i am spoiled!! haha oh ya i wont need you to send me a the ensign cause we will get it in district meeting next month. Also after distric meeting this week we found out about changes.... my prayers were answered and nobody in our pension was changed!!! lucky me! its been raining quite a bit here about every third or fourth day.. the streets are just rivers and then the next day they are just muddy swamps!! We make the best of it and try to have fun and not be totally miserable while tracting. haha my rain jacket works great and so does my umbrella so thanks alot mom for that!! your the best! you put so many things in my bags that i have used that have helped me SO MUCH!! i got my dear elders after our meeting and i love to hear everything that is going on. Of course i love to hear from kelsey cause i cant email her and she always has great stories about her days and spiritual experiences so i love her letters and reread them all the time!! they give me a boost in the work when i am feeling down. I get letters from jana and hear all about how michael is doing, i really enjoy hearing from her and wish i had time to write her but kelsey is my main priority for letter writing!! haha obviously!! but i got a letter from adam that was absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!! i was rolling around laughing cause it was so funny!! him and his brothers went to visit their mom in her mission and went gator hunting. you will have to call them and ask him about it! it was hilarious! but he always shares his testimony and it helps me so much!! they are such an amazing family and strong in the gospel i am so thankful for all their help and support that i get!! tell them that i would love to hear from ALL of them more!!! you should have like a everybody write benetton day on dear elder!! haha i mean everybody!! haha all of our family, kelseys total family, aunts uncles cousins, friends ward members! just an idea?! haha i would love it though!! haha the more letters and love the better i feel and less homesick! I really need to get grandmas email address so that i can write her on here when i am finished writing you all. I hope that everything is going good with grandma? where is she is gonna live? whats going on with that whole situation? Hows the office doing and where did preston get a job? hows the soccer going for ashton? I looked at all the pictures from the packages and i saw the picture of my room and had NO IDEA whose room it was i had to look like twenty times till i realized that it was my room! man i miss my bed! haha and having a tv! and having CARPET!! i really miss that and being able to walk around barefoot anywhere! I loved all the pictures that you sent with your email! its nice to see the whole family and the things that they are doing!! Well i cant wait to hear back from you! I love you all so much and thanks for all the support!! I love you until next week!

We had a so so week with the work, we had a couple of days that were rough because our whole pension has taken their turn being sick so we switch off so that both companionsips can teach at least some lessons for the day. So it limited our time for teaching in only our area, not to mention we had a really crappy week with people not being home or being sick or busy. That really sucked but alot of funny things happened that helped us stay positive and willing to continiue with a good attitude. I am really glad to hear that grandma did good at the funeral and everyone was at peace. I prayed really really harde for that and its nice to hear that my prayers were answered. The plan of slavation is such an amazing thing and to have a knowledge of it and how we will live again together forever is amazing. Anyways i still have my debit card with me so i dont know what happened!!!!!!!! But you better get it figured out fast because i havent spent any money of taken out any money since the airport, so i dont know whats going on. We do get to watch conference as long as we have investiagtors... well thats what i think anyways. Its pretty stupid if it is that way because of all the people that should be listening to conference is the misisonaries. We only get to watch like a half hour of priesthood so that totally sucks, it starts a eight oclock here and we have to be back at the pension at 830 unless we are teaching and then we have until 900. So if you could send me the conference edition in english eventually that would be nice cause i wanna read all the talks and hear all the words of all the prophets!! I am way excited for it too. I am pretty sure that our next zone conference is like the 1st week in november. But if my packages are here i will get them this week because the trainers have more training in asuncion this week so they will leave tomorrow and then come back thursday. So i really hope they are there!!!! hahaha that means i get a new companion for a couple of days.... i am nervous and excited and scared all at the same time. haha i get ot be with elder urmston. He was the old AP and this is his last week is his mission. Once we are together he will have 5 days left in his mission!! how crazy is that!! But i think it will be fun... maybe i will be able help him pack his bags or something. haha NOT!! he is gonna make me work like crazy! haha i think we are spending one day in our area and one day is his, which is like a hour and a half bus ride, thats gonnna suck!! Anyways elder halls first name is weston. I feel really bad that kelseys letters havent got there yet! they sent out i think 3 weeks ago so they should be there any minute!!! Yes I willl continue to write preston and help him along hopefully.I know exactly how he feels and it can be really hard. I heard that jimmy has a girlfriend now??? Tell me all about it and if you dont know ask kelsey because i bet she does! Thats crazy! I havent really heard from him at all since i have been out. he emailed me once but thats it. Anyways here is all the things that happened this week that i keep on my list... oh ya hows the office first? Whats going on with that? Anyways... I figured out that our rent every month is 500 mil guaranies, thats only like 100 dollars in american money. Thats super super cheap!! haha if you could send me pictures of st george, like the whole city and of las vegas that would be sweet. Lots of people ask me about it and i have to tell them i live really close to LV and they wanna see my city and LV, so even if you have to print them off the internet or something. Hows johnny doing with soccer? I bet he is just tearing it up and danny is loving it. I think i really wanna play when i get back, so hopefully danny has a spot for me. I am gonna have to get back into shape work out like crazy!! haha So i dont know if i have told you this but our ward is HORRIBLE at singing, i swear all the dogs start howling and barking when we sing hymns. The people of paraguay... actually ALL latin americans SUCK at singing! haha my companion is seriously tone deaf! he makes dad sound like josh groban! haha oh ya so something i have been craving is jolly ranchers! so if you could send me a bag of those! i would love it! they have NO fruity candy like that here... wel they dont really have any candy here. It BLOWS! i get the most random cravings and i cant do anything about it cause i am millions of miles away from the closest place taht would have anything like that! Today is our last pday until next thursday. We dont have pday on mondays when we have changes because we have it thursday so anyone that gets changed can have a day to unload their things to the new area and get all situated. So i cant email next monday just to fore warn you. Sorry it will be ten days till the next email. Oh ya if you could some how get ahold of the line of authority for me from where i got my priesthood that would be REALLY helpful with our lessons! Also i need you to send me more garments... if could send me 6 bottoms and 6 tops that would be great! I want the tshirt kind that are all cotton and the bottoms that i have now. I wear medium tall tops and i am pretty sure 30 bottoms. Thank you! i can buy that at the temple but they are only the super low neck kind and i hate those!! Also if you could send me FHE activities that would be great and super helpful! They can be in english cause i will just translate them. Thanks mom! So i guess the other night i was talking in my sleep and elder hall said that i was calling out his name and talking to him in SPANISH! haha how crazy is that! i have had a few dreams in spanish since i have been here. Its pretty cool. Oh ya i know that i am asking for alot but these are all things that i figure out they dont have here really and just want them way bad. haha you dont have to send them all. But hot chocolate mix would be really nice and cake mix or cookie mix would be aweome!! these are all things that if someone wants to send a package they can include. If they want send candy tell them to go for it and send all they can! haha cause it doenst really exist here! candybars and fruity things like skittles are no where to be found so i would LOVE THOSE!! especially fast breaks and crazy core skittles or reglar it doesnt matter to me. Also kelsye will know what these are... She has them at here house always... they are like peanut butter bars with nuts that are AMAZING!! those would be way good too. haha i think i am really hungry right now. haha anyways we had a slow week but like i said lots of funny things happened. These cows ran through this yard and took out the clothing line.. one of the cows ran off and had a bra stuck on its horn and this lady was chasing it to get it back! haha my and comp and i were laughing SO HARD! Then yesterday, every sunday after sacrament we study at the chapel for 45 minutes, my comp decided we should make a list of how to be a good paraguayan while we studied. So we put seven points on the chalk board. Number one was drink terere. 2 drink terereíte ( the ite is guarani and basically means alot) 3 have a motorcycle 4 work for one hour a day 5 see number 1 for 4 hours 6 never live the law of chastity 7 have less teeth than brain cells. haha it was hilarious cause its really so true of everyone here!! hahaha So hows hannah and ashton liking school and soccer and whatever else is going on? Hows the whole family? are we having scripture study and family prayer everyday that we can? haha i love you guys so much! thanks for all your suppor t and love and help every week. I love hearing from you and reading all the dear elders! continue to write me through dear elders cause it really helps and tell lots of people to write me!! they can write whatever they want that is going on back home, its really nice to hear it and stay updated!! oh ya the pitures are totally just random things but the kids that you see is a family that we are teaching. the one with the horns is something that i drew on him cause he really is the SPAWN OF SATAN!!!!!! haha the others i can explain if you want me to next week. Love you oh ya and my shoes are doing great! thanks mom for caring about me so much! you really prepared me so well for this! and i have so many things that i have used that i would have never thought to bring! A trip to the big city Asuncion!

What a quick week!!! We had alot of things happen thats for sure. Well we figured out on monday that our baptism fell through... we talked to his wife and they are basically splitting up. He never wants to spend time with them and their whole family is just falling apart from it because all he does is work and then spend time with his mom and his niece oh ya and waste time drinking terere thats the nasty tea kinda stuff here. So that totally sucked when we found that out and so we had to focus all on lessons in with them on the importance on their eternal family and especially with the wife we had a few lessons with only her to help her out. I hope it works out for the better. They really need the priesthood in the family and a baptism for him would really help but he is just not ready right now. So that put a damper on the week cause everything was building up to that day and then it didnt happen. But on a lighter note... all week i have a little note card that i write all the funny or interesting or cool things that happen during the week. So here goes... haha my companion this week ran out of toilet paper and decided that he would just use his hands and water from the sink to clean himself up... now thats what i call a makeshift ¨latino¨rigged bude. I laughed so freakin hard when he came out and told us that he did that!!!! Me and elder hall the other amercan were just dying of laughter and disgust all at the same time. oh ya mom elder hall is from huntington beach. That sucks way bad about the whole kilie and jill thing. I hope that everything can work out and know i am praying for you dad!! haha oh ya so i saw a little boy here with the exact same jersey that hannah had from our soccer team!!! hahaha i have no idea how it got here but it had a big AYSO symbol on it and i just laughed inside. I get everyones dear elders everyweek and they really help me so much!! i love it when i get to district meeting and i have a big pile! keep telling EVERYONE to wrtie me through that cause it comes way faster and it REALLY HELPS SO MUCH!!!! We had a narly storm this week that totally knocked out the power for like 2 days at our house and that totally sucked cuase that meant no AC in our room for the night and it was SUPER humid from all the rain and everything. Oh so the same day my comp decided to wipe his butt with his hand we saw a little boy in the park totally going to town on his wedgie and then pulled out his hand and smelt it!! i was laughing so hard! hahaha We had bean soup for lunch one day and i just had to gag it down as fast as possible before i threw up and then chasted it down with TONS OF LEMONADE!!! haha we then contacted a guy that had a little strawberry field and all i could think about was the one we went to in cali with adam and i got trunky for like 20 minutes!! haha but i just found out that they are closing early so it looks like i have to cut this short for now!! i am sorry! i had a video to send to you of our pension but it looks like it wont finish in time so i will have to save it for next week. Everything is good though and no i havent got the pedometer yet. We went to asuncion today to sign more papers for legal things so i cheked and no packages were for me. Buti love you all and i hope you have a great week. I am sorry to hear about grandpa. that makes for really sad for grandma and everyone. I will keep you all in my prayers. But i prayed really hard last night for grandma sim and grandma eagar to have the spirit of comfort to be with them and know that grandpa will live again. I LOVE knowing that through the atonement of jesus christ we will live again, and through our righteusness we can live with our father in heaven again with our families forever. I know that we will all be together again and that is my favorite part about being able to share this gospel with someone!! Many people do not know that they can live together forever as an eternal family and i know that i need to share with knowledge with them anytime that i can. Whats grandma gonna do? how is she handling it all? Where is grandma sim gonna live? alone in the house or what? I really wish i could have been there for the funeral, hopefully i will get to for grandmas but as i read i had such a great sense of comfort over me and i know that it was my heavenly father blessing me for being and making the sacrifices that misisonaries make from their families. I love you all very much and thanks to you i am here... serving... bringing others unto christ and into the gospel... and bringing them salvation!! How great it is and how lucky i am to be doing the wonderful work. I need grandmas email so i can write her back when she writes me. I got all your dear elders today from you and kelsey and everyone else that wrote me. It was really good to hear everything that is going on!! This week has really gone by fast and we have gotten alot done!! We have received the assignment from our area authority over our mission to obtain a ward directory and go through the whole area and ward and find out who is active, less active, and in active. This is gonna take up alot of our days work because we have to go tot their house and find out where they live and why they wont come or whats the situation and then write in on the sheet and then send it into the area authority for them to analyze. Oh ya i forgot to mention.... we only have a month to do it in so we are really gonna have to crack down on the list and get goin. As for all the questions mom i will try my best to answer them all. The weather is pretty random right now and cant decide if it wants to be hot or cold. This week i was dying of heat cause is was SUPER HUMID and about 95 degrees everyday. Then finally on friday it rained and the humidity wasnt quite as bad. After it rained for about ten minutes it stopped and the smell totally reminded me of las vegas rain for some reason when i was little and played at grandmas or when we would visit. At night i am not cold at all its actually really nice in our room its just the bed that sucks. I cant email elder mcgee. So i havent heard anything from him. What else... I dont really need anything but i would love a pedometer to see how much i walk everyday!! or ya and some hot chocolate packets!! oh ya and if you want to send candy send things like skittles and starbusrts and fruity things cause it doesnt exist here at all!!!! lots of chocolate but nothing like that... Me and my companion have been working with alot of memebrs and visit them every single day. We dont really ever go to the bishops house except for lunch when his wife cooks for us. We always just have meetings after church on sunday with him. I will tell you what the way things function here are TERRIBLE, the deacons dont take off their jackets to pass the sacrament... the bishop is really unhelpful and not really a bishop cause he his like cold hearted i swear. haha just lots of things are way differetn but thats how things are in a third world country and havent been established very long in the church. Hermana Hilda washes our clothes every week for us so that is WAY nice and helpful. Today was the first day i bought groceries and it was way way cheep and wil last me a way long time. WE dont really have to buy that much besides like little snacks when we wnat them cause everyone wants to feed us always!! its great! so every second sunday of the month we are in charge of the talks and so i was first. I wasnt nervous at all which was really surprising but i ended talking for 20 minutes!!! haha i had no clue that i was up there that long. It went really well and i am sending home the english copy of it for you to read. I gave my first blessing... in the beginning of the week i did the anointing and friday i did another one but gave the actual blessing. It was way cool cause i was just laying on the couch during lunch reading the liahona and i got a promopting that i should practice the blessings in spanish. About 3 minutes later we got a call to give a blessing. Oh ya fun fact for the day... haircuts here are only 2 dollars!!!!! haha oh ya i forgot to ask kelsey... ask here for me if she has visited sister anderson yet? and about the new TI album!!! thanks! We taught a lesson the other night and their son was really sick and i looked at him and his eyes were all nasty and i could tell he had conjunctivitis so i told them what to do for it and how to help it go away and they wre really happy cause they were really strggling for money and coudlnt afford the doctor. So when we go back this week i will see how its doing!! i was really happy to be able to help them... i felt in that moment that i could do this for the rest of my life!! i love it!! thanks dad for always helping me and teaching me and letting be in with the patients. I really learned so so much from you at work. The things that i hold most valuable though is all the things you have taught ot me about serving a misison and what helped you and how it can help me!! i am really grateful for all that!!! Today we went to a giant waterfall and had some fun with the other elders in our pension. Thats what the pictures are of. Its called Los Saltos del Monday. It was gorgeous!!! Oh ya and this saturday we have a...... drum roll please... BAPTISM!!!!! haha i am way excited but we still need to teach him alot this week to be ready. We have family home evening alot with the members and less actives on sundays and mondays alot. The love it and it really helps them out!! We have one tonight for the family thats dad is getting baptized this saturday and so were gonna make it really special. Anything you got in mind that could be a fun or interesting FHE please tell me!! haha I could use all the help i can get. Sounds like eveyone is doing great though. I got your dear elders last week from mom grandma and kelsey so that was really really nice!! tell grandma to keep writing me through dear elder along with everyone else cause it comes really fast... it only took 6 days to get to me. I need grandmas email though to write her back cause thats the easiest for me. Well i will have another email with this one cause i need to send more pictures but this one is already to big. Dad and family,
Thanks so much for all the emails and the love that you send with them!! I look so forward every week to hearing from you and whats going on at home with everything and everyone! Sounds like you guys are having tons of fun without me and i am way jealous! those were good times up there at the kids pond. Spanish is starting to pick up. I just need to open my mouth and speak and when i do i am blessed. We taught a less active family last night and watched the movie about when christ was crucified and after usually my companion talks but i just took over and talked all about it and after my companion said taht my testimony was way amazing!! i felt the spirit so so strong in the room and i knew that it was cause i was brave and just said whatever i wanted to and the lord blessed with me the power of the universal language... the spirit! and i know that everyone can understand that!! The food is actually pretty good. We eat alot of chicken and meat and tons of spaghetti and rice! I can handle all of it fine! its usually really really good!! We eat with the members everyday for lunch and usually for dinner our investigators always feed us something! so thats really nice.. i havent had to cook anything more than cold cereal and a hot dog! haha i wish they had other cereal here. its very limited so i am stuck with pretty much the same thing always and the milk cartons are tiny so like 2 bowls and i am outta milk! haha but this week was really good! i felt the spirit strong and i am finally comfortable with jsut about everything! of course there is hard days and i wished i was home sittin on the couch watching soccer with everyone or hanging out with kelsey like i normally would... or going to dinner with the claytons but i know this is where i am supposed to be and at the end of the day i feel great about the things that i have accomplished. They might have not even been that great but i know that they impacted somebody that day! well i hope... haha i have one request for the next package that you send! a pedometer!! i wanna know how much i am walking! our area is huge! haha and i love when you guys send me quotes! tell kelsey i want more of those from her! also i ate at burger king this week for the first time and i was all excited and what not for some real food that i am used to and then i realized that... ITS BURGER KING... the food is not that good at all. haha and of course i was right! but i still enjoyed it! it was nothing compared to my BACONATOR but it sufficed me at the time. People here ALL have motor cycles and scooters and they like to mexi them all out like cars and put SUPER SUPER loud exhausts and other things like that are just annoying as crap!! It hasnt really rained yet besides a little drizzle her and there. It has been fairly chilly though and i have been wearing my long sleeve shirts with my long sleeve sweater everyday for the last 4 or 5 days. People here also love to watch cartoons like the simpsons!! they are like little kids! they know all the cartoons and just love them! Haha also they have water wells taht they get there water out of it they are really poor! it makes me so grateful to have running water and even more grateful for all you do to provide for us daily!! The bishopric here has 3 people but the 2nd counselo hasnt come forever and we finally got him to say he would come every other week! how gerat! haha another thing htat is so sick here is that the women just breast feed anywhere at anytime and dont cover up at all!! UGH!! and the woman dont shave at all! haha i am still trying to get used to the latin american culture obviously! haha also the men here... well everyone loves to drink ESPECIALLY on sudays so there is ´burrachos´ everywhere in the streets saying crazy things! haha So in a lesson yesterday a lday asked how come the blacks didnt receive the preisthood until they did and i said we dont have doctorine but tried to kinda explain why... but it was impossimble in spanish!! haha so i said screw it and gave up. I am still trying to get used to translating my thoughts from english into spanish!! its difficult!! But thanks for everything and i will continue to work hard for everyone! i got a cable for my camera so pictures should be attached to this!!
