A slight improvement... maybe

Thank you to everyone who wrote Elder Hunt and remembered him in your fasting and prayers. We know it can't be easy for him being away from home during the holidays, and we too have missed him and felt of his absence, but we know he is where he is suppose to be. We have great confidence that he will be just fine once he gets passed this little bump in the road. Thanks again for all you do to show your love and support. We feel this is a slight improvement so that is a good thing. We received a letter from the mission saying they were working with him and he was doing better, so we are confident things will work out :)

Well family!!!
What a great surprise this week.... i think that i got more emails today than i have in my whole entire mission combined!!! haha 17 to be exact... there were all from the people that i love most!! This week has been a SUPER crazy week thats for sure. We had a huge meeting in asuncion for all the leaders and trainers so that means that my comp left for that on wednesday until friday. Which meant i got to have tons of different companions!! haha tuesday after district meeting we headed out after lunch with my new companion elder ayala. He is from mexico but he is an american citizen and knows english... THANKFULLY!!! haha we had a really great day and man was it great to have someone different to teach with... he actually has a very interesting story. He ended up having to wait for his visa so he went to washington state first. He was there for like 9 weeks i think and said that when he got here that this mission is way different than the states!! haha duh... we dont have cars or real houses! haha anyways he really learned alot there and just have a real way of talking to people and getting them to open up and understand and know how they can and have to apply the gospel in there lives. Man was that a change... i was like caught off guard when he started teaching because i was just expecting it to be like when i was with my comp. haha and then it turned out great. I learned alot from him and we had a great change. We changed companions again on wednesday afternoon in the bus terminal with my new companion that i would have while my real companion was gone to asuncion. I was with Elder Robaya... he is from sweden and was born in columbia so his spanish is perfect... here was the downside... he is a GREENIE!! that means he has had like 12 days in his mission... haha it seemed to me that that would be a challenge for us but luckily we didnt have to teach or anything because we had ward night in Santa Rita... oh ya thats where is area is, i went to santa rita before with elder urmston so i was ready to go back and knew the area kinda, probably better that this new elder. haha Then thrusday came around and i found out that i would be with elder woodruff... he was comps with elder urmston before when they were APs together and opened up 4 new areas together so basically he is just a missionary MACHINE!! haha he is well known for his overrally positive attitude and work ethic that he is. I KNEW that president made sure that i was with him and that it was his idea for this decision and not the zone leaders like i was told. haha oh ya so i have been talking to president every other night and so he was been well aware of everything and thats why i think i have had so many different divisions with other elders. haha i talked to him this morning actually while we had a district activity.. ha it was nice cause i really didnt wanna participate. haha he said that tomorrow after our chirstmas zone conference were gonna have an interview so we will see how that goes and what ends up happening. haha oh ya so anyways Santa Rita was really really super busy and we worked like animals i will tell you what... my feet were killing me after that day. haha we taught pretty much all brazilians so we taught in spanish and then they spoke portugese but everything was understood perfectly! which is really interesting to think that two totally different languages can function like that. they were all really good lessons because elder woodruff can teach AMAZINGLY good... he had a scripture for every doubt that anyone ever had about the Book of mormon from the bible or any doubt that they had he just came right back with something that helped them understand the truth. Anyways friday i came back and we got done with the change and got back to the house. IT RAINED LIKE CRAZY!! we sat in the house and did weekly planning and then went to our lunch appointment. I was super sick after and all i wanted to do was lay in bed. Finally after fighting my companion for hours and countless attempts of him trying to get me out of bed to go out and work i just went out... i felt like crap and had no desire to be working. But i did it anyways and man was i mad at him after!! he wanted to just finish our goal of 20 contacts but that then turned into 3 lessons and not coming home for hours. I wanted to kill him!! haha saturday was kinda the same... but a little better.... sunday came around and the RAIN WAS HORRIBLE!!! we had 4 people in priesthood and then 55 in total!! we usually have about 120 everyweek so half as much as usual. IT was pretty disappointing too because none of our investiagtors showed up due to the weather. We had a meeting with the bishop and the leaders of the ward after and man was it horrible... it smelt super bad because there was 14 sweaty wet dudes in this TINY room with no AC and its just getting worse by the minute. haha all in all though the week has BEEN SUPER LONG and exhausting and i have worked my butt off even when i sick.... so just to let EVERYONE know i AM LOST IN THE WORK!! haha but i still wanna come home... we´ll see how my interview goes tomorrow. haha thanks so much for all the love and counsel and emails that i know mom and dad you told everyone to send to help me. They did a little and i felt very loved!! i balled like a baby as i read every single one of them!! tell travis thanks for all the encouragement that he sent to me and his experiences that he has had in life in his mission and in soccer with me. they were really inspiring!! tell kelly and claudia thanks for EVERYTHING and everyone else!! its been great!! i didnt really have anything super funny happen this week.... besides this... haha i was in santa rita and elder woodruff said to contact this hosue.... and he said the guys name was john deere... haha it really wasnt but he just madet the name up and said to say it all spanishy... well i did and the lady said yes there is a guy that lives here by that name... we tried SO hard not to laugh.... if they only knew!! haha well tahnks again for everything!! i love you all ALOT!! thanks for all the prayers and fasting!!
